Sorry, sorry. That was a misprint. I meant horizon mirror. One eliminates
side error by getting the horizon mirror perpendicular (after the index
mirror has already been set perpendicular by the usual methods).

Hmm. So you're still getting inconsistent results for star-star sights even
with a little "side error" gap between the two images. Curiouser and
curiouser... I was hoping this might prove helpful for your issue.
