    Joining in here, but with a slightly different question.  Refraction corrections in the Almanac are normally sufficient, I presume.  However, during the winter months on the coast of NH the water temp gets down into the high 30's.  In November it is already down to about 45 and often, especially on "warm days" in the 40s and 50s  there seems to be significant refraction.  Isles of Shoals appear to be floating above the horizon.  I would guess that the horizon is not going to be reliable for shooting in those conditions.  Any thoughts on that out there?
