From comment I've seen here and there, these Russian sextants were supposed to be quite good instruments, as were the telescopes furnished with them
One "problem" with some of the telescopes was that they presented what was described as an "inverted image", that is upside down, which was the reverse of what one usually encounters in sextant telescopes.
