It would be worthwhile asking some dtailed questions about the arc. That Heath Hezzanith instrument and mine (which is badged with a different name) are clearly products of the same factory. It appears to be somewhat later than mine, in having an endless-tangent screw, which is a worthwhile design improvement. It means that you can never get to the end-limit of the fine adjustment. Note that it also has a rising-piece for the telescope, and obviously that feature is by no means as rare as it's cracked up to be. The frame casting, though having the same three-ring layout, seems to be a bit chunkier in cross-section, so perhaps a bit heavier and sturdier. There are detailed design differences in the attachment of the handle and in the eyepiece size of the magnifier, but all in all, the similarities are remarkable. Bid prices are silly at present, but not for long. It's exactly the same model that I nearly bought a few months ago, which had a damaged arc near the zero-degree end, so you couldn't see the divisions just where they met the Vernier, where it's all-important that you do see them. Beware, because it could possibly be that same sextant, going round once again. It's up on the UK ebay site, exactly the same as on the French one, but with the text in English.
