While I do admit to enjoying the benefits of polarized sunglasses for pleasure sailing, when dinghy racing on our local pond in light air they inhibit my ability to read the water and distinguish between calm water/holes and the ripples (dark water) from cat's paws or a breeze. They can also be a pain in the rear when trying to read digital instruments on the big lake. Bill
