    Side Error
    From: Bill B

I am attempting to tweak my new Astra III B deluxe (traditional split
horizon mirror, front silvered index mirror).

It will be months before I have a distant horizon to work with, so have been
using a faint star. That gets me most of the way there.

My question, can I use any sharp line to test/adjust even if it is only
several hundred yards away? My guess is yes, as parallax between the
horizon and index mirrors should not be a problem, but my guesses are so
    often in error.

    Thanks

    Bill
