For a slightly more humourous description of astro in the Vulcan and the Mear's slide look at https://www.pprune.org/archive/index.php/t-355913.html which you'll soon realise is a site mainly followed by pilots plus only the occasional navigator. Comment 2 is totally wrong, but half way down there's a comment by Wamears who actually invented the slide. The real reason for this message is so that I can practice sending a photo. I'll start with a Mears (not mine, I've temporarily lost mine for the moment). D
