Well, I'm not a newbie, I've been hanging around for a really long time, years in fact. I hope to improve my skills too. I enjoy reading about what the more active members of the community are working on. I occasionally will add my two cent's worth. The most recent thing I remember participating about was that I'd rather have two plastic sextants for the redundancy than one "better" metal sextant. As always YMMV (Your Milage May Vary.)
