The mid-latitude and meridional parts calculations are fairly close, as one can expect at a distance of just over 200 miles, (I get a distance of 237.9 nmi, using the 1980 spheroid) I assume that you calculated course to steer from your MNT DR to the Waypoint, and simply accepted the fact that the 0244 DR position was "off course", even though no additional information was given about the sailings between 1914 and 0244?
