Another source for identifying slide rules is The Oughtred Society (http://www.oughtred.org/). They are totally dedicated to the history, preservation and collection of slide rules and calculating machines. There is more than a 50% chance that one of their members has written a journal article on your slide rule. The Society has a search page that mines their publication data base (http://osgalleries.org/journal/litsearch.html). You will find this group and their resources quite helpful.
