To all:
Appropos of plotting sheet discussions, there is a wonderful program
created by Wes Murfin who is one of the members of the Silicon Sea
"working group".
This harkens back to August 1996 when Wes placed it into the Ronin
archives for the benefit of Silicon Sea voyage followers. The
program functions under Windows (3.1 or 95), creating scaled plotting
sheets from 0d to 55d Lat, in 1d increments, which may be sent to
Printer, File or Clip Board. It includes the typical PS compass rose
in 1d gradations. The output is quite similar to USPS small area
plotting sheets (CLS XX) but automatically takes care of the need for
longitude scaling.
Unfortunately, the Ronin archives seem to have disappeared but I'm
willing to send it on by e-mail to anyone who requests. It is
POSPLOT.ZIP of 108K (which expands to 265K) and e-mail transmits at
about 150K via UUencode base64.
Please respond directly to my e-mail address, _not_ the list.
