Bill Lionheart had a feeling it should be possible to infer the position from UT.

Measuring on the photo you can estimate the (topocentric) altitude difference between sun and moon; also you can estimate the difference in azimuths, this however depends on the altitudes which are unknown. A prerequisite is of course that you assume zenith is "up" in the picture. Using a quite simple excel sheet I got the following values of position versus UT, by trial and error. The first and last positions are outside France.
