James, I do most of my own work on my sextants. On rare occasions I have dealt with Robert White in Boston, mostly for parts. I found them to be very good. I just sent the horizon shade assembly back to Cassens & Plath in Bremerhaven to have a shade glass replaced. It was cheaper to send it back rather then have it repaired here in the States. There is Clausen Instrument Company in North Carolina; they are the importer of Freiberger Sextants and I have purchased parts from them for my Freiberger. They have a repair shop and your sextant is a copy of the Freiberger I think. You might try them. A member of this list, Joel Jacobs is a very experienced person when it comes to your brand of sextants but unfortunately I have had no dealings with him yet, so I can make no comment about him other then to point out his impeccable credentials.
