Years ago the Chipmunks sang that song.
All I Want for Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth)
Everybody stops and stares at me
These two teeth are gone as you can see
I don't know just who to blame for this catastrophe
But my one wish on Christmas Eve is as plain as can be
These two teeth are gone as you can see
I don't know just who to blame for this catastrophe
But my one wish on Christmas Eve is as plain as can be
All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth
My two front teeth
See my two front teeth
Gee, if I could only have my two front teeth
Then I could wish you, "Merry Christmas"
My two front teeth
See my two front teeth
Gee, if I could only have my two front teeth
Then I could wish you, "Merry Christmas"
It seems so long since I could say
"Sister, Susie sitting on a thistle!"
Gosh, oh gee, how happy I'd be, if I could only whistle
"Sister, Susie sitting on a thistle!"
Gosh, oh gee, how happy I'd be, if I could only whistle
All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth
My two front teeth
See my two front teeth
Gee, if I could only have my two front teeth
Then I could wish you, "Merry Christmas"
My two front teeth
See my two front teeth
Gee, if I could only have my two front teeth
Then I could wish you, "Merry Christmas"
It seems so long since I could say
"Sister, Susie sitting on a thistle!"

How practical is the spotting scope method (say x20) on a small boat in a typical Cornish roly poly seaway? Anyone had experience of doing this?
I find even the sun method difficult except in very sheltered, flat calm anchorage, when anyway, I can usually do it from the beach.
The good news is, in 15 + years of hard seagoing use, my trusty Astra B seems to hold its IC/IE until I reach terra firma as long as I treat it like a baby and don't bang it or drop it.All I want for christmas now (apart from my 2 front teeth, as we say in England) is a 20x spotting scope! ( years ago, I told my wife that cel nav was "back to basics, cheap and simple!).
Enjoy and Merry Christmas all at Navlist.
