Is my understanding correct: the S-tables are Ageton's ones further compacted by clever column layout (the same column may be entered with four angular values 90° apart) and a trick with clever selection of the multiplicand to provide for nicer page layout when printed?
Was the one-page table implementing some sort of paper cuts-through?
I once saw a street map of Stockholm (~A5 size when folded) that if unfolded was really huge, like 1.5 meters by 1.5 meters - but because of some intricate paper cuts enabled to open it at any "page" or city place conviniently.
