Today I tried to cobble together a long term almanac for stars using 2008 as base, this as 2008-2011 was closest quadrennial I had covered by NA (For Aries table).
As I have given declination and SHA for only one month I am aware it is not very accurate over the year, but still good enough for navigation I hope.
Also I am slightly uncertain if I have made a working LTA, to test I tried few (only 3) "backwards" calculations and compared to NA, it was within reason.
I can only hope that some of you can give pointers how it might be improved?
The instructions need work I guess.
and it was bit much extending the use to 2039, 2019 would have been more reasonable.
anything else?
As I am trying to keep it to one page (to be pasted inside my sextant case) it is somewhat limited,
Everyone can feel free giving me hints, point out any errors or suggest improvements,
If anything is to be added it would be nice if it could be kept one page, no need to replicate Mr Kolbe, I have few copies of his excellent LTA aleady.
