    Mark,

i just am having a trouble getting if I went straight at the rain, percieving it as squished together.

IMO, its' not too hard to understand.

The running in the rain model works fine here: if you run straight up towards the falling drops of rain (i.e. if you look forward towards the stars you travel to) - you'll see no skew of their trajectory. If you run at the non-zero angle to the drops' trajectory (i.e. if you look more sideways to the direction of your space travel) - the more skewed the rain will be.

As with all the models - this one also has its' limitations, because Newtonian analogies do not work 100% well with explaining the relativity effects.

    Regards,

    Tony
