Just encountered this. Fascinating, what the designers of analogue devices invented. I'm wondering if the recent advent of cheap 3D printing devices might facilitate the regeneration of kit like this..... and also Sir Francis Chichester's 'Tubular Slide Rule' which he used on some of his open-cockpit pioneering ocean flights.
