What was interesting, to me anyway, was that the company that produced the device was called the Spiral Slide Rule Co, when it is completely obvious that it isn't a spiral at all. It is concentric circles with odd connecting ramps.
Does that lead to loss of accuracy? Did the company skew the values on the ramp? Exactly what does it solve? How does it do it? These old analog calculators have a certain charm.
Should be interesting. I look forward to the investigation
