Hi Zane, in Stellarium you can set your viewing location by lat.long and set your height above sea level. Because you can set your height above sea level I presume that the dip correction must be applied unless Stellarium is taking that into account. When Stellarium uses the term "apparent" altitude I accept the altitude of the object includes atmospheric refraction and so I presume that the main correction is needed. I am not sure about either of these assumptions and that is why I am asking. I do understand that if I use the sun or moon I will have to accound for the semidiameter.
