The above mentioned time piece, which I use for sight taking is several years old. Other than having been worn on my left wrist, it has experienced nothing unusual, no water baths, nor has it been dropped, or stepped upon. Checking it against NIST Time, it has, till recently, always agreed with the computer read out. Lately, within the last couple of weeks, while taking sun sights at the beach, Eastern N.C., I've noticed that it gains time, a couple of seconds at a time, till it is 8 seconds fast, when it reverts to agreeing with NIST Time ala my computer.Shot the sun today, AM and PM, the watch showing 4 seconds fast each time. I've spoken with Casio technical support, their diagnosis being "something with the radio signal", which I doubt is the case.
Has anyone here had a similar experience, and if so, what if any solution. Thanks in advance for any information.
