Thanks. As I thought no good for getting a time signal offshore. Fine for coastal sailing in those areas and I was thinking of converting one of my brass ships clocks to a radio controlled movement but not quite mastered the basics of clock making to do it! I remember now I blogged about the device called the Chronoverter that transmits radio time signals http://billlions.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/chronoverter-your-own-msf-time-signal.html

Can I check again about this remarkable (and expensive!) watch. Do you have the manual page where it describes where you can freeze the time of day. Just wondering if it is handy for taking sights.

Attached is a diagram from the manual for my Casio which shows the reception range for the 6 transmitters. The Fukushima transmitter was not operational for a while (for obvious reasons), but that seems to have been rectified.
