One of the features of the Casio originally mentioned in this thread was that it has a freeze time of day function. I think we had this discussion a while back but I cant find the thread. Obviously my thought is to press a button when I take a sight and it records UTC as hhmmss. There are stopwatches typically for car rallies that freeze time of day. I found a site selling them for $50 but quite likely there are cheaper ones closer to their Chinese source. The difficulty is that freeze time of day is not a feature they consistently describe in the list of features.

It arrived in excellent condition, runs extremely well (consistently 1.1 sec. fast per week) and I have never had a problem with it. They currently have about 112 Casio men's watches from 32% to 45% off. In fact, now that I have learned that some of the new models can obtain the time globally from GPS signals, I'm seriously considering purchasing one from them. The only caveat is that the watches they sell do not come with the manufacturer's warranty, although Jacobtime offers their own 2 year warranty.
