I was lucky. The sun made brief appearances and I was able to take several quick sights. I picked one that was near the prime vertical and worked it by the cos formula, calculator and ABC table (AP=GPS). The result was absolutely amazing!!!!!!
Intercept 0' azimuth 90.4°
I will not work any of the other sights just in case my luck runs out..............
I estimate that the sun's dec will be at 23° 26.1' at about 1620 local time. Unfortunately I will be out but hope to be home in time to take a sight just after the sun has crossed the prime vertical.
