    Sun Slow Day
    From: Frank Reed
    Date: 2024 Feb 11, 11:44 -0800

The Sun rose late today... It reached the meridian late at local noon... It will set late today, giving us the illusion of longer days even before we switch back to Daylight Time. Today the Sun just can't be bothered to arrive on time for anything...

This is Sun Slow Day again. The actual slowest moment for this year appears to be just about midnight UT today, 11 Feb 2024, or 00h UT tomorrow, 12 Feb 2024. I haven't pinned down the exact time --the minimum of the curve is very flat and does not change by as much as a single second of arc in GHA offset during at least ten hours centered on that time. Which one to choose?? I recommend you celebrate both. :) The actual date of the minimum of the equation of time may vary a bit from one calendar year to the next.
