Attached is a hand drawn illustration of a double analemma with the inner analemma showing degrees of a fast/slow Sun vs. degrees of declination. The outer analemma shows minutes of time of a fast/slow Sun vs. degrees of declination. The vertical line is zone meridian noon. The horizontal line is the equinox. The asymmetry is I think the result of an elliptical orbit around the Sun (Kepler discovery ?).
