As a rare treat is was sunny until the cold front swept through northern Indian and southern Michigan late Wednesday. Now it is payback time. 50+ knot winds, 14-18 ft waves with occasional 22 ft Thursday in northern Indian and Southwest Michigan to mid lake according to NOAA. BTW, the 10th was the 40th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald going down in Lake Superior with all 29 souls lost, 17 miles north-northwest of Whitefish Point, Michigan. It is eerie saiilng near that area on the way south to the locks/St Mary's rapids.
