"Even with 3 SINS we needed to monitor the SINS and correct, how is top secrect. we were not to surface, or make any noise,or transmission. Every one was hunting for us, We did have type 11 periscope that could measure 11 seconds of arc. I wonder what they have now? "

I would be most surprised if it is not a small GPS antenna attached to a float sent up to the surface on a piece of string.
