Hi All,
I recently bought a Tamaya NC-99 navigation computer. It's based on a Sharp IQ-7200 personal organizer (mid-90's vintage hardware) and works by adding a 64KB card to the main computer.
I emailed Tamaya and they were kind enough to send me a 3-part scan of the entire manual, which seems to be missing from any internet archive I've been able to search.
There are a few oddities in it.
1) The almanac is good from 1538-2100 with 0.2' accuracy between 1900-2100.
2) The merdian passage program only works for the Sun
3) The twilight program selects only the closest twilight to the given time so will not display both sunrise and sunset.
4) Dates are entered with the format MM.DDYYYY
5) The non-GC sailings are meridional parts based on the 1976 model.
I plan on bringing it on my next voyage to see how it works alongside the Starpath calculator. I'd love to hear from anyone who has any experience with this particular model.
