Thanks for that brochure and information. All very interesting and it looks like a very nice sextant.
Its been sitting in the antique/nautical second hand store for the last 6 months. The secondhand shops here frequently have sextants for sale. Certainly the prices are not very high like the auction site prices. I will make a good inspection and if everything is ok and if the price is right I may put in a offer. I really dont need another however I was curious about what is called a "7/8th" sextant.
