I had the pleasure of sailing as guest crew on Virginia for a week in September 2010 from Boston to Gloucester, Provincetown, and Norfolk. The winds were fair; we sailed 90% of the time.
Virginia is a beautiful replica pilot schooner built in 2006 according to the plans of a 1917 pilot schooner of the same name, with, of course, the safety upgrades required by the U.S. Coast Guard.
I highly recommend.
