Funny you should say that about drills as yes, we actually do have man overboard/fire etc. drills on our little boat (a 40' Van de Stadt sloop). Friends probably think we're crazy, but who cares? We actually have fun doing it, make a joke of it sometimes - breaks up the boredom, as well as keeping the skills up. Old sailors used to sing and dance on their ships too, for exercise (and probably mental health!) and so do we. Now THAT'S a confession!
