I have a 90 mm Orion basic reflector, which my 10 year old grandaughter seemed to adapt to reasonable well, once I set it up and pointed it. She was able to manipuate the aiming quite well (I can do that, she said as she grabbed the controls). We did the Moon last year and I believe that we did the rings of Saturn and the moons of Jupiter. She has not done any investigative work of her own, but the telescope is good and useful for me also, to supplement my larger 8 inch Orion reflector.
