Yes, I knew it must be not that easy as just a sealed chamber with a fliud and a factory-preset bubble in it. I once saw a drawing of a compass for an airplane - there was all the machnery for compensation of fluid effects from different temperatures and pressures. That's why I asked how did they handle it in a sextant, which must be light and compact.
