Buried as a footnote in a recent NavList post is an important thing. Frank Reed has been managing NavList for 20 years now!
I've been reading (and occasionally participating in) NavList only for a couple of years but I think it's safe to say that this place has been kept up mainly (only?) thanks to Frank's persistence and long-term work; running the infrastructure, moderating messages, posting discussion hooks. That allows this awesome community of unique, knowledgeable, and also fun people, which I always like to read posts from, to keep living on and exchanging information, puzzles, knowledge, and other good stuff. Thank you, Frank!
It's also been interesting for me to see that tight moderation works for NavList, although I've been always wondering about its sustainability and Frank's workload.
To celebrate this occasion, I sent a small contribution for NavList ops. Anyone wants to join in? :)
