    Frank,

    An alternative way of looking at this is to say that if we’re assuming that PLs A, B, and C have the same bands of error, and if you drew ‘ghost lines’ parallel to lines A, B, and C, and moved them towards the centre at the same rate, there would come a time where the ‘ghost lines’ met at a point.  As this point is the same distance from each of PLs A, B, and C, it must be the centre point of the cocked hat’s inscribed circle. This can be found by halving the angles at the three tips of the cocked hats. 

    Now the probability of this point being your true position is zero, but if we use it anyway, I measure us by drawing at 11.4’ up,  20.0’ right.  DaveP
