Most of my Australian and NZ friends like the phrase "Down Under" and I suspect would prefer it to the alternative "up over". (they like to say "up yours" to us Poms.)
Interestingly, the "North-South Divide" seems to be opposit in parts of UK, where South is rich with posh accents and North is poor, except in London where North is rich and South poor.
I agree with Frank, it is all fluff.
But I would recommend the excellent book by Jerry Brotton "History of the World in twelve Maps." Mentioned in the BBC piece. He is a Prof of History at London Uni and a world expert on history of maps. Beautiful book.
I suspect most of the psychology stuff is fluff and babble.
But what happens if the earth's magnetic field does another "flip"?
I'm lost already.
