Time Terminology

I wonder if there is sometimes carelessness in the use of time terminology? I use an app called ClockSync to time my sights. The time displayed by the app is identical (as far as I can tell) to that on my PC which is set by NTP. I have not had any problems with reducing sights which suggests that Clocksync displays the correct time for the almanac.
However.... Clocksync calls the time it displays Atomic time.
To quote from the timeanddate website:
The difference between UTC and International Atomic Time (UTC-TAI) is now 36 seconds.
i.e. Atomic time = TAI. Is Clocksync wrong?
