I received a sextant today, a 1938 Husun in mint condition. Its history is unknown but it appears to have avoided WW2 or lived in a very safe environment during that conflict.
Oddly enough I collected it not too long before noon, did a quick check as to mirror alignment, made no adjustments, took a noon shot and the damn thing was only a smidgin off the mark.
It will be for display only, best left in its all but pristine condition.
