    Time of full moon
    From: Fred Hebard
    Date: 2019 Dec 12, 14:07 -0500

The fullest of the full moon was meant to occur last night on December 12 at
12:12 am, eastern standard time. It was billed as the 12-12-12-12 moon! As
best I can tell, it occurred at 11:57:25 pm EST, or 04:57:25 UT on December
    12. That was when the GHA of the Sun was 180 degrees separate from the
Moon’s GHA, by linear interpolation of values in the Nautical Almanac.

I remember, however, that similar calculations of when the Sun crossed the
equator at the Equinoxes were more complicated than simply determining when
it’s declination was exactly zero. Are there any similar caveats to the
    above calculation?

    Thanks,

    Fred
