What you're doing here is basically a 'consistency check'. It's not really a method for working a time sight. It will yield roughly correct results in many cases, but that's because the tables are consistent. They solve a related problem. Have you yet understood the simple "equatorial, equinoctial" case? I'm not talking about learning the instructions on a recipe and following the rules robotically. Rather, do you understand WHY it works?? After you understand the easy case, then you move on to the general equation (calculator required). Do you know that basic, general equation to calculate LHA from given h (altitude), Lat, and Dec?
In addition, you need to ask yourself WHY you are trying to do this? Why do you want to learn how to work time sights? Can you answer than, Sam?
