Frank, I missed your survey, can you give some information which will help to find it? Title of the message, approx date? I am using a very old Casio fx-250, which has been discontinued long ago. Several years ago I bought Casio fx-260 solar, and it does not have this convenient deg/min/sec conversion. I even asked a Casio representative why this feature disappeared, and tried to explain him why it is important. From your message follows that they returned this feature (?!) The fx-260 solar that I have now does not have deg/min/sec conversion. It was $8.47 (???) at Walmart. That's the calculator I recommend.[END QUOTE] I second that. I actually use my TI-30X IIS more because it has multiple memory slots which make sight reduction a breeze, and it has a battery for low-light conditions. But the Casio has one feature that almost trumps those and which I so wish the TI had: the "deg/min/sec" button works without having to use a menu like the TI does. It's a small difference, but when I keep having to pick deg., min. or sec. from a menu it makes me wonder why TI didn't just simplify it like Casio did: just press one button after each numerical entry. -Sean C.
