See images of how the Helix Circle Maker (compass rose) can be used to plot a Sun line LOP. If you ever find yourself navigating from the passenger seat of a car or aircraft using a bubble octant then the clip board plotting sheet and Helix Circle Maker well get the job done in a very confined space.

Concerning plotting sheets- in reading your web log you mentioned a helix angle and circle maker. Do you use it much when plotting your sights? It probably has many uses and even a simple way to make a UPS. That's my guess.
