Towson's MD is the county seat of Baltimore County. It is a land locked northern suburb of Baltimore MD founded in 1740 when it was settled by farming brothers named Towson.
Funny enough I was a student at then Towson State University back in the 1980's and worked in the Registrar's Office there from 1985 to 1990.
Towson University is the newest name of my old college.
Wikipedia has a nice page on Towson MD. And be sure to add the 'md' to your Google search.
Hope this helps and Towson Tables might refer to the old Farmers Almanac but no water in or around Towson.
The inner harbor of Baltimore is the nearest body of water and feeds in Chesapeake Bay.

I thought that I had seen a reference in Sadler's history of his time at HMNO but could not find it. I also searched Burton's description of the preparation of his tables but also could not find it.
I googled "towson" without success. The search was complicated by the existance of a university of that name. And of course adding the word "tables" to a search gave me links to shops that sell things with legs.
