Re: your 4Jan 2022 04:49. Take a decent size mirror off the wall, or even a painting of your favourite F4, so long as it has reflective glass. Lie back in your chair with your feet way out. Hold the mirror/painting at arm’s length, horizontally, shiny side down, above your head, with your arms about 45 degrees forward. Look straight ahead but sneak a peek upwards without moving your head. Low and behold you’ll see your feet in the mirror/painting.
Complain to the Cub owners about no throttle friction and rattly windows but compliment them on the quality dope finish on the underside of the starboard wing. Your earlier photo shows the footrest even better. See also https://fineartamerica.com/featured/preston-aviations-piper-cub-starboard-side-chris-mercer.html for the reflective effect of a recently doped wing underside.
Look also at Fort Nelson on Portsdown Hill for seaward facing guns. Somehow or other they’ve even managed to mount parts of a Type 45 Destroyer up there too. https://s0.geograph.org.uk/photos/09/47/094772_9662c53d.jpg . Hornblower would be most impressed. DaveP
