    I wouldn’t try to make one – Google “plano convex plastic lens” and you will get a ton of places where you could buy them off the shelf. Only question is what shape & how much do you want to spend? Then I would 3-D print the holder.

    Up to now, I have assumed that the cursor would be made up from a microscope slide.  Going with a semi-convex lens is an intriguing suggestion.  How would one go about fabricating such a thing?
