A brave though controversial ship in WW1, Scots built with Parson’s turbine engines. She was on tow to the breakers when she grounded in 1935, her propellors having been already removed. Only eight onboard when she grounded, so no need to lower the lifeboats. Do we know what happened to her Bechstein? Her British steel has lasted well. It’s such a pity that today the production of virgin steel in the UK is hanging by a thread. DaveP
