I make it approximately 02.04UT on 7th August 2015 (well close enough for a Cambridge interview).  That makes it about sunset local on the 7th (or possibly 6th in the unlikely event of being beyond 180E).  See working below.    When I had my interview in 1962 at Imperial, George Jackson asked me to solve an integral, which I had no idea how to solve, being only interested in beer and girls in those days.  Sadly, at 82, I’ve had to give up beer.  In the end he took pity on me, and we just talked about aeroplanes. He recalled that as a junior designer at Avros he’d watched a sadly under engined prototype Avro Manchester crash on the airfield and the test crew climb out and fall about laughing.  He asked me why I’d picked Imperial as first choice from the five or so offering Aero Eng, and I said IC had the most modern looking front cover to their prospectus.  That must have gained me a few extra points.  DaveP
