I turn on the Tardis, travel back in time, and trick William Thomson, Lord Kelvin, into travelling to 2026. He is delighted and not surprised to learn that our "internet", so-called, is transmitted by great ocean cables, impressed to hear that many of the cables use glass fiber optic connections, and stunned to learn that we need thousands of mini-moons in low orbit for our internet because we are too impatient to deal with the delay from round-trip light travel time to the more obvious high orbits.

Lord Kelvin still wants to set up a lunars-like question for that Cambridge Exam. But this time using internet imagery. The beautiful images below are the setup. We see the Sun near the horizon rising over the bones of an ancient wreck, though not quite as old as Kelvin's bones! Your challenge: using astronomy only, determine the date of the image within a given month, determine the local mean time, and determine possible locations where this image might have been acquired.

Key clues:
1) You are given the month and year: August 2015.
2) Your location is near the Tropic of Capricorn. 

One rule for this Tripos Exam Question: do not just answer with the location. Replies that give up the location will be tossed, burned, marked "F"! After 72 hours, then you can give the location. For now, just the astronomy and celestial navigation.
