OK. I think I get it. The Moon is very close tto 50% full in the close-up. So that should tell me the date(s) in the month you gave (August 2015... why that month?). You said the latitude is *near* the Tropic of Capricorn. How near is "near"? A mile?? A hundred miles?!
That wreck is intriguing!
